Flex Twitter Component,Made with Flex Builder 3.
You can change the twitter user with flashvars ,eg:?twitterUser=nxdm.
This is a Very useful app ,You can easy add to Your Flex Projects,or Use as a Standalone Component.
This uses the http://code.google.com/p/jwopitz-lib/ for The Panel "Title Bar" Button,Label, and Image.
This also uses ,and includes a simple php proxy, due to twitters cross domain policy.
You can easily take the Current Skin out,and use Your very own skin.
All in all This is Just a simple Flex Twitter Component.
Have Fun!,and Let me know if You have any questions or comments.
Thanks
To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version

All Components here have no restrictions, other than the Resale of the actual component itself.
In other words.
You can't just take the component ,and sell it somewhere else.
Yes You can integrate this into the application You are building ,and resell that application as You wish.
As long as You arent just selling this component as it is now.
1. unable to load feed 2. third party server dependency
Submitted by carlneuman on 4 February, 2010 - 19:46.I purchased this component, and have no problem to compile it in Flex 3.
But when I run it, I see an empty tweet list, and an error saying
--------------------------------------
"unable to load feed".
--------------------------------------
I also noticed that in the source code, it tries to connect:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
gettweet.php
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
and
--------------------------------------
http://api.tweetmeme.com
--------------------------------------
Why do we need these? If the php is to solve the cross domain issue, can I have the php file so we can host on our server?
Thanks!
Carl
gettweet.php
Submitted by nextdimensionmedia on 7 February, 2010 - 01:26.The gettweet.php Is a Standard Proxy written in PHP 5.
I will send You this file,in the morning.
Then You should be able to use the gettweet.php on the same Host as Your app.
That will definitely solve the cross domain issue.
api.tweetmeme.com is for the retweet function of the app,and is needed.
I will have You the files tommorrow, and I apologize for any inconvenience.
I will also ask flexden to reupload the files with the .php script included.
I think I may have included it in the preview, but not the purchased file.
This is My mistake, and I will fix it tommorrow,
Thanks

what's the license?
Submitted by carlneuman on 4 January, 2010 - 16:28.What is the license to use the purchased component?
Can it be embedded in our software that we sell to the general public?
No Liscence Needed.

does this come with source code?
Submitted by carlneuman on 4 January, 2010 - 16:19.Does this component come with source code?
If I choose not to use jwopitz-lib and want to use my own container/component, is it easy to modify?
Thanks!
Carl
Yes It Does
Submitted by nextdimensionmedia on 6 January, 2010 - 11:15.This component comes with full source,
except the jwopitz-lib.
Yes You easily use Your Own Container,
such as a Panel,or HBox/VBox etc.
Its actially easier than You think to make this.
You must have a PHP enabled server, for the proxy thats included.
The Proxy is needed,
Otherwise this component is extremely simple to integrate into Your Project.
Its almost Pure MXML,and a couple lines of AS3.
Thanks.
